Review – I was in town to visit some friends and stayed only one night in this hotel. Booked this hotel via elong.com at a price of RMB158. Wanted to book some other hotels with a gym but not all hotels in China receive foreigners. Surprising right? Must be some silly rule by the government yet again. Hotel was easy to find as most cab drivers know where this place is. As long as you know what road it is on and what is the nearest intersecting road. (Yes driving in Shanghai takes a lot of guts and skills!) When I arrived at the hotel at 12.20pm, I was told the rooms were not ready and required 10 mins for the maids to clean. I waited till 12.50pm when I finally get my registration done and get my card key to proceed to my room. I got upgraded to a family room instead of the standard business room. Corridor carpet is dirty, rooms are not that clean also. But at least it’s spacious and the TV has cable movies and programs. Aircon is single unit instead of centralized, so you can control the temperature. Promised wifi provided but not present and LAN internet is slow. How to conduct business matters here???
Amenities – Very basic. Service – The concierge is good but could be better with some smile and service is bad. As if they hired some secondary school teens to manage the front office.
Sleep Quality – Walls are pretty sound proof but not the doors… In the mornings as early as 7am, the chambermaids will be shouting talking loudly with each other even though they are less than 2 meters apart. Think they are hard of hearing…
Location – 上海市徐汇区龙华西路501号（近中山南二路）About 8mins walk to the stadium where the MTR station is and lots of food places around the stadium.
Breakfast – Provided for 2. But I didn’t try as I had to check out early. Besides, I read the reviews that it was bad.
RTS (Return To Stay) – Hell no!
Overall – Bad
